Do you create videos about old retro computers?

BoomerTec is a new website and although I created it to publish my own videos, it is engineered to support multiple contributors into Channels (a bit like Youtube). This resource will be much richer and more beneficial to the community if more than just my videos are available, so why not consider sharing some of your own?

BoomerTec is strictly non-commercial so there is no financial benefit to having your videos on here, but it does give another home to them where viewers can watch them without all the noise that goes with commercial platforms. You would of course retain copyright ownership to your videos, and they would be credited to you as the creator. You participation would be a valuable benefit to the community.

How does this work technically?

BoomerTec's collection of videos is manually maintained. There is no "studio" app to upload and publish them yourself. Please make contact with me and I'll give you an FTP directory where you can put up some videos in HD or 4K quality and I can work it from that. I can possibly download videos that you specify directly from other platforms like Youtube or Vimeo to make it easier if that helps, but only with your direct authority of course.

Over time, as and when the video pool gets larger, I might trim some of the collection if disk space becomes an issue. There is no aim to make the collection as big as possible just for the sake of it. You don't need to share all your videos of course, just the ones you are happy to, and in a similar vein, I might not include all of those you do provide.

You can request deletion of some or all of your videos at any time if you wish. It is a manual process but I would expect to be able to do this quickly if you wish me to.
